Deaf Radio is a modern rock band formed in Athens, Greece, in 2015, counting three full-length albums. Their debut, Alarm, was released to critical acclaim in 2017, as was their sophomore album, Modern Panic in 2019. In November 2022, they revealed their latest work, Arsenal of Hope.

The band’s third album, “Arsenal of Hope,” represented a significant shift in their aesthetics. Departing from their hard rock/stoner and psychedelic roots, they embraced a matured identity and reinvented themselves amidst a changing world. This album delved into themes of social isolation, digital addiction, and the absence of human touch, which resonated strongly in today’s society. It showcased a blend of thought-provoking melodies, poignant lyrics, and evocative arrangements that captured the longing for connection and meaning. Through introspective tracks, the band explored the emotional toll of technology’s advancement and the consequences of virtual interactions. “Arsenal of Hope” became a powerful testament to resilience, offering a musical journey that confronted the challenges of our digital age.
The band wholeheartedly embraced the release of “Arsenal of Hope” by embarking on two successful European tours, which included sold-out shows and a remarkable show with renowned psychedelic rock group, the Black Angels.

Hailed as one of the most exciting rock bands to emerge from Greece in recent memory, Deaf Radio has shared bills with the likes of The Killers, The Kills, All Them Witches, The Clutch, Hellacopters in Greek and European territory with four continental tours and features in festivals such as Exit, in Serbia and Eurosonic (ESNS). Indeed, in 2021 the band won the HEMI Music Awards, a programme co-funded by European Union’s Creative Europe, which involved more than 200 European bands.

Their previous releases have also garnered significant attention. The album “Alarm” achieved millions of online streams, while their second creation, “Modern Panic,” captivated listeners with its expansive and exhilarating style. The lead single, “Astypalea,” was featured in Classic Rock Magazine’s “Tracks of the Week” section and received airtime on KEXP Seattle, USA. Notably, both albums’ vinyl editions quickly sold out, with “Modern Panic” selling out on its first day of release.
